Violins con fuoco

(kon fwô'kō)

Italian, meaning “with fire” or “with passion”

I am an experienced and dedicated musician and teacher of many ages and abilities.  I began learning the violin from the Suzuki Method at age four. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance.  While pursuing a Master of Music degree at Colorado State University, I held the position of First Violinist with the Graduate String Quartet and Concertmaster of the Colorado State University Orchestra.  I studied privately with Dr. Ron Francois (Colorado State University), and Jeri Jorgensen (co-founder and former first violinist of the Da Vinci Quartet).  My education also includes four months in Milan, Italy, where I studied at the Accademia Internazionale Della Musica with violinist Carlo Feige.  While in Fort Collins, I also had the opportunity to serve as judge for Colorado All-State Orchestra.

After finishing my studies, I turned my attention toward teaching in Castle Rock, where I live with my wife and son.  I have maintained a full-time private studio in Castle Rock for close to a decade.  In addition to lessons, I am the founder and director of the Castle Rock Youth Symphony and the Korean Christian Church Youth Orchestra.
